Before You Die was a bit of an orphan song, written by Woody after Dave's departure from Denver in 1997. This song exists in almost the same form as when it was written, other than a small expansion of the chorus. Thematically, the song implores the listener to remember that life is short, and to seize the day by getting out and living before you die.
